Happy Christmas from all the team at Ability Bow

Thank you to all our gym members, volunteers and trustees who have contributed to our events and fundraising this year. In this year alone you have supported us on and helped us deliver: Our Open House Day, The London Marathon, The Brick Lane Village Fete & Art Auction, our first Ride London, Come & Sing at St Paul’s and the Big Fun Run.

St Paul's Old Ford Fundraiser

We had a fun Saturday on the 13th September joining the St Paul’s Old Ford Choir for their scratch choir event. The evening saw Ability Bow and the church team up to deliver an evening of fundraising and performance. If the opportunity arises again we can’t recommend enough that you join them for workshops ! Hannah is a wonderful Music Director. £140 was raised and it was great to see old and new faces. Thanks to all who contributed with the bake sale and volunteering and even singing!

The Big Fun Run 2014

Date for your diary

Ability Bow is joining forces with the 5k Big Fun Run in Victoria Park on Saturday October 25th once again!

We are raising money to keep our valuable one-to-one gym sessions going You can sign up to take part by running, jogging, walking or using a wheelchair; run for fitness, for fun; just get involved, there is no pressure just lots of laughs and a great way to spend a Saturday morning supporting your gym! If that’s not for you, you can volunteer on the marshalling team.

Ride London 2014

On Sunday 10th august we waved Ian across the finish line at The Mall completing his Ride London –Surrey 100. Despite the challenging weather conditions (see the rainy photo below!) which have been described as biblical (such severe wind and rain that the course was cut by 16 miles) we found the 2nd Prudential Ride London -Surrey 100 (or we should say 86!) a great success. Ian has raised £636 for Ability Bow (including Gift aid) Thanks so much Ian for your months of hard work training and fundraising!
