Graham took part in Parallel London on Sunday 4th September to raise funds for Ability Bow and Headway.
My name is Graham, I was caught in an avalanche while snowboarding off-piste in 2012. I sustained a hypoxic brain injury, which has left me with action myoclonus. I now attend Headway East London and Ability Bow once a week, of whom I honestly can’t speak highly enough. I want to raise essential funds to help the charities so I am trike-ing 10k at the Olympic Park in Parallel London. It sounds like a bit of a cop-out, but considering I can only do a few laps around my flat with a walking frame, with my care worker following me in case I fall backwards its not so easy … I might even do a lap of Victoria Park too if I’ve got the legs! Maybe 30km in total. I want to increase people’s understanding of brain injury and highlight the incredible work Headway East London and Ability Bow do for brain injury survivors. They are great charities that rely on generous donations to provide thier special services to the disabled community in London and help people like me to achieve their goals. I appreciate all your support and thank you for any donations.
You can still sponsor Graham , his funding page remains open until later this year . Thank you for supporting him and us !
